Summary: Jinny (Race Wong), an art student takes a photo of death and becomes obsessed with it. She finds something beautiful about it. It really freaks out her friends. Somehow, a real murderer discovers her obsession and starts killing her friends (actually, one friend). She must find out who he is and also deal with her own problems (abuse as a child) and a mother that was not always attentive.
Impression: It talks about the horrible things we are capable of doing. I don’t really know what to say about this movie. It seems like she’s going crazy, and everyone around her thinks she’s crazy, but then this gets explained away because of her childhood. There’s suspense, but at the end, her facination with death makes sense…in a warped kind of way. It’s like she accepts it and deals with it. I don’t know how to explain it. Basically, I’m confused. There were some gruesome parts in it, but not too TOO much. So, it’s just an average film.
